About Kay's Krafts

My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 8 years old, and in recent years I have had the opportunity to spend more time doing what I enjoy.

My work is almost totally with pure wool as I love the feel and comfort of the natural fibre. It is warm, breathable, sustainable, and mostly locally produced.

The baby and children's items I create are from patterns I want to try and wool I want to use. They are all individually hand knitted, some may be similar but no two are the same.

Wool should be treated with care and respect, washed by hand or gentle, cold, machine wash.

Some of the blankets I create can also be used as adult knee rugs, throws, or blankets. I work in a Nursing Home and often the needs of residents are few with regards to Birthday and Christmas gifts. A unique warm knee rug in their favourite colour is a perfect idea for a special person.

I hope you will enjoy your special purchases as much as I enjoy creating them, and every new Mum appreciates a hand made gift for their New Arrival.
